As a homage to Australia’s native flora and fauna, Alice Nightingale has released a new mini-collection today with pieces inspired by wombats, wattle and koalas.

From yellow pom poms to sleepy-wombat pockets, the Australiana range displays remarkable attention to detail and an expert use of texture. Alice’s new line also takes her dedication to quality handmade pieces to a whole new level, with individually handcrafted koala-shaped buttons that we’re feeling pretty fond of.

Pieces in the mini range combine practicality and style, and with pieces like the Wattle Dress boasting a massive front pocket we can all breathe a sigh of relief that we won’t fall victim to the dreaded fake pocket.

So if you’re like us, and are wondering why you don’t already own clothes with pom poms on them, check out the collection below or head over to Alice’s etsy store this week to grab one of the limited pieces in the collection. Also make sure you check out the Australian themed pieces by Brisbane based ceramic artists Bonnie Hislop whose work is seen alongside Alice’s latest collection.
